So...
May 21st, 2008The tour almost ended today. With us being pulled over at a VEHICLE INSPECTION checkpoint. So...
They check the van. KINDA. They pretty much had jimi's get out of the van, kicked the side. And the van almost fell apart. After a stern talking to, they let us go cause we were out of province. OTHERWISE, they would have taken the van off the road for good. Which would have left us in saskatoon, without a car. We would have had to find jobs, and live here till we bought a new one... ouch.
Cheers all, tour is going super well. Everybody has been so super nice, couldn't ask for me.
Chris
So it's been 2 weeks now...
May 13th, 2008And tour is going so well.
We've finished our initial stint of the tour in ontario. With the last two dates being double headers in timmins and Kirkland Lake.
We've been added to radio there, and the turn out was amazing. Couldn't have asked for more.
We've been living in the van together for 2 weeks, which always seems to put people in a good mood for some reason. I even got to play some guitar hero along the way. Which is good, dispite what the tour blogs say, I don't get much time on that little plastic guitar.
So now it's off to Winnipeg to hang with our friends from DRYrun. Can't wait. Should be a great couple of shows. Tour is just starting, but everybody seems to be excited about the states and the happenings lately with the band. And so am I...
Talk to you all soon, it's hard to get internet, but we're doing our best.
Chris
The first day
May 2nd, 2008The first day of tour. It's come and gone. As it always does, much much too fast. We'll be used to this and back in form in a day, maybe two. And then it's all back to the way things were.
And it's awesome. The first show when really well, we played well and were crazy as per usual, so we haven't missed a beat.
Hope to see you all soon, and I'll keep you posted on the tour as much as possible.
I'm just sayin... ![]()
Has anybdy even heard of this? You betta...
March 12th, 2008So, I'm going to ask everybody a question. And I want you to answer, then ask everybody you know the same question. If you live at home, or even if you don't, ask your parents. Your friends, your TEACHERS.
Have you heard of Peak oil? Do you know what it is? Are you aware of the effects, both economic and social? What does it mean for your future?
Hope everybody has comments for this, I'm going to write out a nice long effing blog about it, but I want to know what you know, what you've heard... I'm betting most of you don't know anything about it... yet. It's scary.
Almost as scary as December 12, 2012. Go look that up to while your at it, and hit me back. I'll write a blog about both... ![]()
Please PLEASE leave a comment. I'm curious.
